Size 25" seat tube measured center to top of top tube 26" to top of chrome seat collar. Top tube 24" c-c.
Standover is about 34-1/2"
Serial Number GJxxxxxx July 1973
Hubs Dated 1974
Condition: Excellent with usual scratches.
I am the 2nd owner of this mostly original '73 Opaque Blue Sports Tourer.
Original owner recently installed new Kenda gumwall tires, brake shoes and black cables. Gold freewheel/chain were changed earlier.
Front deraileur was upgraded to Campagnolo Record. Cable is routed under bottom bracket.
Accessories:
*"Number 1 Pump" doesn't seem to work.
*Rear mini-rack, as featured in '73 Schwinn catalog
*Schwinn Sprint bottle cage with hinged clamps. Unfortunately, it's missing the "Sprint" spring-loaded steel fastener. But it still holds the original "Ale" bottle. Appears in '73 catalog.
TA crankset: 1 decal missing. Replacements available on ebay. The other is worn--see pics
NOTE: The frame was built in July, 1973. Hubs are stamped "74." I suppose either the frame was built into a complete bike in 1974, or the hubs were produced earlier than the date stamp.
